2nd Annual EMERGE Exhibition
February 27 – March 14, 2020
Opening Reception: Thursday, February 27, 2020 | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Art Room is thrilled to announce the 2nd Annual EMERGE Exhibition, the group exhibition that features work from Art Room’s EMERGE Young Artists Program. The exhibition showcases the students’ still life and self-portrait drawings, along with self-driven projects that explore the individual students’ aesthetic and conceptual interests. The show runs February 27 through March 14, 2020.
EMERGE is a semester-long program with a vision to provide supplementary visual arts education centered around both mentorship and active art-making. Jenna Mullender, Callie Nettle, Avery Claire Siemer, Elizabeth Stuard-Smith, and Saffron Windsor are Art Room’s current EMERGE students featured in the 2nd Annual EMERGE Exhibition. The students worked on developing their understanding of the foundations of art through a solid drawing and design base. During EMERGE, the students studied the analysis of form, observational drawing, life drawing, and professional practices.
Art Room is open to the public and will host an opening reception on February 27, 2020.
