1st Annual EMERGE Exhibition

March 26 – April 6, 2019​

Art Room is thrilled to announce the 1st Annual EMERGE Exhibition, the inaugural group exhibition that features work from Art Room’s Youth Program, EMERGE Young Artists Program. This year we are also excited to collaborate with Centennial High School’s Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) students to showcase their talent. The show runs March 26 through April 6, 2019, with a reception to be held on March 30, 2019, in conjunction with the Fort Worth Art Dealers’ Association’s Spring Gallery Night.

The EMERGE Young Artists Program is a six-week pilot program with a vision to provide supplementary visual arts education centered around both mentorship and active art-making. Molly André and Eleanor Lunsford are Art Room’s current EMERGE students featured in the 1st Annual EMERGE Exhibition. André and Lunsford worked on developing their understanding of the foundations of art through a solid drawing and design base. The two young ladies studied the analysis of form, observational drawing, life drawing, painting, and professional practices, while they participated in the EMERGE Young Artists Program at Art Room.

Centennial High School’s VASE students are a part of an exemplary group of students recognized for their excellence of visual arts achievement. In the students’ latest work, they were challenged to showcase their creativity and talent through a variety of media and approaches. CHS VASE students were encouraged to explore their personal style in the artwork to represent their individuality. The following CHS VASE students are featured in this exhibition, Darien Baker, Breydon Binz, Gavin Blackwell, Jacob Cell, Gianna Cook, Ashlin Davidson, Wyatt Day, Lilyanne England-Taylor, Stephen Gonzales, Savannah Hatfield, Hannah Hermosillo, Madylin Herrera, Kalynn Hoover, Sydney Lewis, Joe Martinez, Kaitlynn Miller, Adamary Ramirez, Ashton Rector, Samantha Sanchez, Gregory Self, McKenzie Thurman, Apolonia Wright.

Art Room is open to the public and will host a reception during the Fort Worth Art Dealers’ Association’s Spring Gallery Night on March 30, 2019.
